Athletics Day

On Friday we had Athletics day But first we had to line up in groups and we need to put our colour and our year on our hand when we were there we were doing tug of war but first we had to listen to our instructor.

The Next one was high jump and Mrs King was teaching us but we have to listen to her and she told us to jump over the pole and if the pole fell down we have to go too Mrs Davis and do easy ones with her.

Our third one was sprinting. We have see who is the fastest and we have to line up and you will get a number so you know which line and if you come first,second or third, fourth you will be in the finals and if you didn’t come first,second or third, fourth you will not be in the finals.

Our fourth one is disks you have to try and throw the disk as hard as you can but if you throw it out of the line you will have to try again and you are not allowed to throw the disk at someone.

And the fifth sport was wheelbarrow you have to get a buddy and you have to go on the floor and put your hands on the ground and then you move your hands like you're walking  and your buddy has to hold on to his buddy's legs and start walking.

Ginger beer

Maniakalani Film festival

On Wednesday me and the whole school went to Sylvia park because we were going to watch movies for the Maniakalani Film festival but first we went on the bus to go there it was fun on the bus. Then we have to wait patiently so we could go in. Then it was time for us to go and watch all of our movies and then we heard some people cheering for them. And when it was finished my favourite one was go for gold. It was amazing because we had 3 movies because we have 3 teachers and they are Mr Moran,Mrs King and Mrs Davis and they are one of my favourite teachers.

Opening our ginger beer

Today we are going to open our ginger beer it went all over us and it was like a volcano and the taste was delicious.

Lost

Once there was a girl and her name was Bella she was going to the park with her friends and there names were Farah,Tatia,Mamarei,Hope and Jarreka.                                            

When they were playing tag Bella found a and teleport then Bella went in she saw lots of dinosaurs then the teleport closed then Bella got petrified then she saw a dinosaur coming towards her so she ran away then she saw something in the disease then she went after it then it disappeared into a hole then she went and looked for it.

Then she found it.it was a man he was trying to find some new dinosaur so people know more dinosaurs so the man teleported Bella back to the park and her friends were still there so they all started to play with each other and they lived happily every after.

Pheidippides

The Greeks were exhausted as the battle came to the end of the Marathon city the persians sented Pheidippides too go to the Athens.

Over rocky mountains Pheidippides ran from the Marathon to the Athens to send some amazing news but Pheidippides had no food and water. Pheidippides felt so exhausted but he never gave up.

Arriving in Athens Pheidippides shouted  “Joy! We won!” until he clapped  and died.

Ben Johnson

At the start Ben Johnson did not look human and he had big red eyes and had huge muscles to and he was versing carl Lewis.

During the race the 100 metre sprint were staring now it is time for the race and all eyes were on two men Ben Johnson and carl Lewis when Ben Johnson was running he was so phenomenal so they stopped the race because no one could catch up with him and he broke the world record.

When they were doing a test for your urine if your take drugs Ben Johnson raced to the airport then 3 hours later some people came strippet his gold medal and gave it to carl Lewis and lost his world record.

  

Olympics flame

The ancient Greeks started the tradition of having an Olympic flame. In Olympia a sacred flame is lit by the sun's rays and stays alight until the games have ended. The flame symbolized a request for protection from Zeus and the athletes’ struggles for victory.

The modern flame symbolizes the light of the spirit, knowledge and life to this day, the torch is still lit in Olympia in Greece, then carried by a relay team, passing runner to runner, until it reaches the host-city of the games. There, the cauldron will be lit and stay alight until the closing ceremony.

First in the morning me and my group have to see who has the Biggest bag so we can put our launch box in the biggest bag. When we went in the bus we have wait before we get there. When we got there we sat down on the floor and waited for an instructor then he came and said his name was “Jeremy”. Jeremy took me and we to a room and told us “we are going to make a dream bedroom out of shapes and it has to fly’’. When we are finish we have to do our vivid we have to do the outside of the shapes.Then Jeremy said we have to do the some detail with the pencil. It was fun doing art with Jeremy.

How I feel about my artwork or the whole process.	I feel so proud of my artwork because it took me a long time to do my vivid.I also loved my painting because now I am finished.
What did I enjoy most of all or what was the best thing about my painting.	I enjoyed painting because it makes me so excited. I also enjoy talking to my friends because it gets so lonely when we just do our painting.
What did I find hard or I didn’t like.	When miss king said that we have to do our vivid. It was very hard because miss King said we have to make it straight.
How can I do my art better next time?	I have to try my best to keep going. Because I could be better and better so I can be good at doing art.
What was the most interesting thing I did or my friends did.	I loved my friend Mama’s painting because it was so interesting and also it had so much detail. I also loved my other friend Megan’s painting too.
What did I learn most about?	I learned about how to create art by drawing The Eiffel Tower I made some building with some detail like the windows.

 Hi my name is Hope and this is my new book. It is so cute. My new duffy book is called treasure. Thank you Manaiakalani  people for the Duffy books.

The colosseum

2000 years ago The Colosseum was built but now it is very very old. The Colosseum is in Italy the king of it Sits down on his chair and makes people in different country’s fight lions or tigers. The Colosseum is a stone archways it is very strong 2000 years ago. 2000 year ago the Colosseum was grand and glorious because it was new.

Swimming

 In the warm pool I am learning how to swim . Swimming in the pool my strong arms push me

     to the end. I wish to go swimming everyday because I want to learn how to swim.
